When we were kids, there are not much barriers of expressing our thoughts and desires. Kids will speak truthfully on what they think and what they want without thinking how others will perceive their opinions. It’s just a matter of letting others understand what they want and what they think and people would not think too much on whether the kids have ulterior motives on what they are saying.

But, once we grow up, we realize that the world is not as transparent or black and white as we thought. Before we are saying something out we would try to consider other people’s feeling and whether what we say will give us any negative impact. We learn that people that we are considered as someone that we trust a lot might betray you anytime.

It’s hard to differentiate black and white anymore at this time. It seems that everything has two sides of coins and not as simple as what we used to believe.

To protect ourselves, we start on learning how to build a wall between us and others. Sometimes, we learn not to speak our opinions out as we are scared that others might misunderstand what we meant.

All in all, I just find that it’s just weird for us that we could not express ourselves as good as kids although we have much richer vocabularies. :p

Nothing much happening in my life and I need some new activities to occupy me during weekend. Perhaps I should take some language classes to occupy my time.

Resolution wise, guess that I have not fully achieved my goal and think that it would take another few more years to know what I really want in my career. I have discovered that it world is not only involve coding and perhaps it’s a blessing in disguise that I did not take bio courses during my uni year.

Guess that sometimes it’s better to cherish what we have in life. Hope that I can focus more on counting my blessings more in 2011

2010 has been a great year so far. I got closer to my course mates and it’s a blessing to know such nice people in the clique. Had also the regular monthly gathering with the gang during the uni time and guess that I could talk normally with that mr x now.

Resolution wise, I do not think I have achieved much and seems that some of the personal goals need to be brought to 2011. Yup guess that I would need to start thinking on what I should achieve in 2011. Meanwhile, let me enjoy the last few days of 2010.

My friends were shocked when I told them the idea of having gathering and leave both of people to have their alone time after the gathering.

I was surprised that the sadness and the jealousy didn’t hit me.  What I wish for now is for him to get his own happiness and I believe that life still goes on, no matter whether you are attached or single.

Friend said that I might not love him that much as I thought. Perhaps, this is the reason and I am happy that I did not put all my emotions in it. Well, it’s the time for me to focus on my career first before I am committed to the l word.

A simple resolution and hope that it would be realized before the 2010 ends.

Happy New Year 2010.

I am fortunate to have few great mentors that have taught me a lot of things in life. It’s just great to have a high school teacher who believed in my ability while it was jut beyond imagination for me to believe that I could enter the university here.

I still remembered that he asked me to stand up after one quiz while I was wondering what I done wrong and it ended up he only wanted to know somebody who did that question. It seems that it was just a few months ago when he kept telling me to go to bioinformatics /medical field.

I did not really follow every phrase that he said. Neither, I went to study medicine and went to computer science instead. Sometimes I just wondered why other people seemed to know the field that I am good at then when I did not see it myself. He still supported me although I did not go to Russia like his other students.

He is one of the person who helped me in achieving the impossible and believe that the sky is the limit. He is the one who manage to make me studying hard for my UEC although I am not really a person who loves to memorize all the maths or other subjects’ formula.

So, thanks a lot for your guidance during those times and hope that you have a really great birthday. Happy Birthday Mr Wong.

There are a lot of changes during this transition period. Surely, I begin to miss the freedom that I had then as it was one of the best chapter in my life. In my opinion, university life is liked when you are treated as an adult while having the luxury to be a kid sometimes.

It was the time where mistakes are tolerated while your friends were always there to offer their helping hands. It was also the time whee I learnt friendship is not as ideal as I imagined during high school time.

It was also the time where my social networks expanded like never before as proven through my facebook friends list although on the same time I learnt what betrayal means.

It’s been bitter sweet memory and guess that it’s the time where I should learn  that no matter what happen in our life, it’s the best for me to enjoy every moments of it.
